Welcome to What A Soup, your new favorite destination for authentic Thai noodle soups in the heart of Cambridge, MA. Located at 125 River Street, we specialize in serving traditional boat noodle soup, a dish celebrated for its rich history and complex flavors. Originating from the bustling canals of Bangkok, our boat noodle soup offers a unique blend of beef, pork, and a specially prepared broth that includes a hint of blood for that authentic taste.
Cute little gem in Cambridge neighborhood. Probably one of the best boat noodles I ever had. The service was sweet and friendly as well. We had the beef boat noodles, pork boat noodles, and creamy tom yum. They were all great but the beef was the best.
The food was so good! We had the Thai iced coffee, shumai and the chicken with clear noodles. The best broth I've ever had hands down. Parking was a bit of a challenge to find but well worth it. Small inside but we came around 4pm on a Sunday so not too busy. Loved it, will definitely be back the next chance we get.
Easy 5 stars. The servers are really kind, the food came really fast, and the atmosphere was really nice. I ordered the beef boat noodle, which was very delicious and worth every penny for the portion size. The broth was nice, and the meat was perfectly cooked. This food somehow reminds me of home. I also ordered the pork skewers, which were pretty nice too. Will definitely come back to try more stuff on the menu.
It's a very awesome spot! We tried boat noodle soup, creamy Tom yum noodle soup and chicken noodle soup. My personal favorite is chicken noodle soup! But all three are delicious. You can tell that they spent a lot of time and effort on their broth! Totally recommended to go with friends so that you can try them all!
I'm not much of a soup person, but we just had to try this place and it literally left me saying ''WHAT A SOUP!!!'' I've had Michelin bib gourmand ramen in SoCal that I loved, but the What A Signature dish here has absolutely trumped it for me. It is the most flavorful noodle soup dish I've ever had and the meat was so perfectly tender. Their What A Rice dish was a perfect match to have with this and was such an impressive combination of savory and sweet. If you love FLAVOR then look no further. Everyone raving about the service and the atmosphere is spot on, and their Thai tea is the authentic kind - chef's kiss. Iykyk
